A unique riverfront experience for students!

Mr. Mahoney, MJHS Science teacher, didn't want to let an opportunity float by without investigating.  Knowing lots of families travel over Fall Break, he offered a learning opportunity for those who were home at the time the Living Lands & Waters exhibit visited Madison last October.

Students and teachers from area schools along the river in Indiana and Kentucky were treated to a free, hands-on, life-changing experience to understand the impact of clean water and the importance of doing your part to keep your community and waterways clean.  The timing was perfect for the students from the MJHS Academy who had just wrapped up a cross-curricular study on water and completed a service project incorporating their learning from the novel 'A Long Walk to Water'.
